This privacy policy explains how DivaKnit handles personal data. DivaKnit is developed and operated by Lars Olaussen ("I", "me") as a private individual, and is distributed on the App Store under a product name associated with BuddySoft AS. I care about your privacy and process data in accordance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller

2. What information is processed
DivaKnit does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or other personal information to use the app. Content you enter yourself may nonetheless contain personal data, depending on what you choose to write or photograph:
- Pattern PDFs you import;
- Project, yarn, and journal information you enter, such as notes and progress;
- Photos you take or select from your camera roll to add to journal entries.
This information is stored exclusively on your device, unless you have iCloud sync enabled (see section 4).
3. Access to camera and photos
DivaKnit requests access to the camera and photo library solely to let you add photos to journal entries. Photos never leave your device or your own iCloud account – they are not sent to me or to any third party.
4. Syncing via iCloud
If you're signed in with an Apple ID and have iCloud sync enabled, your content syncs between your own devices via Apple's CloudKit service, in your private iCloud database. This is a service provided by Apple, governed by Apple's own privacy policy. I have no visibility into or access to data synced this way.
5. Sharing with third parties
I do not sell or share personal data with third parties. DivaKnit contains no analytics tools, ad networks, or tracking.
6. Retention and deletion
Data stored locally on your device is deleted when you delete the relevant content in the app, or when you uninstall the app. See Your Data for details, including how to manage or delete data stored in iCloud.
7. Your rights
Since all information is stored locally on your device and in your own iCloud account, you're always in full control of your data – access, correction, and deletion happen directly in the app or your device's settings, without me needing to be involved. 8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated as needed. Material changes will be announced on this page, and the "last updated" date above will be revised.
